I find the word boss interesting. At work we refer to people. You might even be the boss. If you are the boss,. Do you exercise authority,. Thats what Dictionary.com. Says a boss is. Its an interesting thing to reflect on,. Do you want people. To do things because they have to? Because you told them to? Cuz youre the boss? At the end of the day. They have listen to you, right? You are in a position of authority, right? You are, after all the boss. But, is that why you want people to do. But thats just me.

This past week reminded me. That all you think you need, you have. That all youre supposed to know, you know. That everyone youre supposed to love, you love. We spend so much of our time. Wishing things, people, stuff, was different. We tell ourselves we want more, less, new, old. We make our current lives unhappy by focusing on what is. Out there. Forgetting whats in here. I watched leaders this week realize they have what they need. They know what they need to know. They can DO what they need to do.

So many ideas about how to get results from a team. I know only one that always works. Know them, observe them, listen to them. And then give them direct feedback about what you notice. But telling them isn’t enough. Once you help your employees know what they are doing,. Not doing or should be doing more of. You have to help them understand. The intention behind their own behavior. Why do they do what they do? Why do they love what they love? Why do they resist parts of their work? To achieve the goal.
