Friday, April 24, 2009. This was my first year and I loved it! They pick themes every year and this year was TV shows. Our squadron picked Survivor. Everyone was so creative with their themes with costumes to decor to their skits! I will definitely be going again next year! Posted by Rockabilly Mom. Monday, April 13, 2009. The last day of my parent's trip we decided to go to Cochem Castle before I dropped them off in Frankfurt. It is such an amazing castle inside and out and the views are incredible!

Saturday, February 28, 2009. I took the kids to a Harry Potter convention on base. I got Kristian a Slytherin robe to wear and he went as Draco Malfoy. Both kids had so much fun participating in games, making candy wands and winning prizes! Eliza won a wand that lights up and makes noises and Kristian won a replica of the Sorting Hat, very cool! Wednesday, September 16, 2009. USO Sesame Street Live. You can see mine and Kristian's heads in the bottom left of the picture. The USO brought Sesame Street to our base! This was such a cool thing that the USO put on for the military and the kids loved it. Not only was the show free but the kids got free Elmo light spinners and USO bandanas. Sunday, August 30, 2009. This is a yearly event that takes place at the Manderscheid castle ruins and this was our first year in attendance. You get in at a discounted rate if you dress up so the kids and I wore costumes. It was very warm that day and the kids got cranky after only a couple hours so we did not stay for the actual jousting but had a good time nontheless. Posted by Rockabilly Mom.
