All the men were dancing and throwing money into the air, quite a sight to see. Yesterday we planted trees with our Girls club for Sikh Environment Day. Follow my adventures in Thailand, India, and beyond! Tuesday, February 22, 2011. The girls dropped me at a Rickshaw in Varanasi and I made the journey by myself to the train station. Angie and Alex have now left 'Incredible India' to enjoy comfy beds, beef, and salads! Of course it is. This is why I travel to different destinations. A big Indian man sat infront of us, sort of as a protector, but no one told him to get off the bus. The man continued to stare at us, and just as I was ready to get off and catch another bus, the man stood up, and thankfully just exited. Still it was quite a frightening experience! Ik ben een zeer enthousiaste en serieuze 19-jarige sprintster die de wereldtop wil bereiken. Al sinds mijn zevende doe ik aan atletiek. Inmiddels train ik onder leiding van Hidde Egbers zes keer per week bij de atletiekvereniging AV34 in Apeldoorn. Wil je mij, bijvoorbeeld met je eigen bedrijf, op weg helpen naar meer succes?

Stories and thoughts from travels in Africa. Sunday, November 11, 2007. The funeral was held in her village. Her mother had died in childbirth, but her father is still living. We arrived after 2 ½ hours on a dusty trail to women wailing and crying. What a sorrowful sound! I hurt just thinking about it. The crazy thing is, Tiana lived in the orphanage her whole life and these people didn’t even really know her. But, the loss of life is mourned, not just the loss of a relationship. The countdown is on. August 12, 2009. I am now home from Ecuador, and happy to be back with my family in Canada although I do miss all the wonderful people I met while I was away. Both Ecuador and its people are beautiful, I absolutely feel in love with this country during my three month stay and even though Canada is my home, a piece of my heart will always be attached to the mountains at the center of the world.
