Pieces of Me: Hocking Hills
http://ambersouto.blogspot.com/2012/07/hocking-hills.html
Saturday, July 7, 2012. With the in-laws in town, we decided to treat them to a couple nights in Hocking Hills. Only an hour from home but featuring secluded cabins, hiking, and hot tubs, it seemed the perfect place for the whole family to get away for baby's first trip. May 2011 vs. June 2012. Nevertheless, with good company and good spirits (and of course that hot tub! We had a lovely time. Looks like a beautiful retreat! Joel seems like a tree lover already. July 13, 2012 at 9:23 AM. It's me. {Jen}.

1 PPV Thanksgiving Meal. You're probably wondering what in the world I'm talking about. on the Simply Filling technique from Weight Watchers, I figured out how to eat a 1 points plus value Thanksgiving meal. Here's what I'm talking about about:. Turkey white meat without the skin (power food). Mashed red potatoes with sea salt, plain non fat yogurt and some fat free sour cream (all power foods). Fresh steamed green beans quickly sauteed in 2 tsp of olive oil (power foods). Whole wheat roll (3 PPV). I've ...

http://ambersouto.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Only two books in October? I don't know why it took me so long to post this. Title: Life of Pi. And they all encouraged me to read it. That did it for me. Title: Thirteen Reasons Why. Genre: Fiction, Young Adult. This one was recommended to me both by high school students and fellow English teachers, so I checked it out from the library. Friday, November 18, 2011. Xiǎo Jiǎozi (Little Dumpling). First, the amazing, awesome, exciting news - there is a half-Asian bun in my oven!

Are you like me? Do you worry too much? I am fully aware that the Bible calls worrying a sin, that worrying implies my lack of trust in God and that I am commanded in all things with prayer to bring my burdens to God. Yes, I still worry.like all the time. The kind of worry that makes your stomach hurt and makes it difficult to feel happy about anything. The kind of worry that almost invokes paranoia that more things are wrong than the small issue that I'm worrying about. Subscribe to: Posts ( Atom ).

Pieces of Me: June 2015

Wednesday, June 17, 2015. A Return and a Birth. The first thing I want to capture for memory is the birth story of our second baby. Ten days before my due date, my in-laws arrived to help out. That was also the first Sunday of my spring break from school. My brother-in-law and his wife arrived that Tuesday to visit as well, so it was a full house. Unfortunately, it was also a house full of the norovirus. Somehow, I didn't get sick. Praise God! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Return and a Birth.

According to Leah: A Postpartum mommy's body- the real story
http://leahkoch.blogspot.com/2014/08/a-postpartum-mommys-body-real-story.html
A Postpartum mommy's body- the real story. I am in awe of the all the beautiful women who are fortunate enough to have bodies that shrink back and tighten right up after giving birth. You see stories all the time that show celebrities whose stomach's and bodies look better after giving birth than they did before. I feel like there is this expectation that you will immediately look like you did before your body became a home to a baby for nine months. I gained a ton of weight in my first pregnancy, which ...

Artfully Domestic: PINK!
http://artdomestic.blogspot.com/2010/08/pink.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. I finally started working on Olivia's baby blanket this weekend, and I think the project somehow miraculously jolted me out of my couch potato/hopelessly-bored/when's-my-next-nap phase into my nesting/crafting/project-crazed phase. I have two more projects that I want to get done, and I'm sure many more will make their way into my mommy-agenda within the next 6 weeks or so before she's due. I used the fabric that I bought in New York. More glorious Anna Maria. I am a wife and a m...

Confessions of a non-conventional.or maybe conventional mom. Let me start by saying that this post may be highly controversial, gasp-inducing, and "how dare she" in nature but if there is even one other mom who needs to be told "it's okay that you make these decisions" then it was worth it. Here's the list of what you should know about me as a mom:. That was your choice! Only you and your doctor/mid-wife knew what was best for you and your baby. Was it the best choice? Was it the right choice? Let me jus...

Pieces of Me: Ready for the Weekend
http://ambersouto.blogspot.com/2013/02/ready-for-weekend.html
Friday, February 1, 2013. Ready for the Weekend. This was the kind of week that ended with me at the Starbucks drive-through instead of the gym after school. I feel like I have not had down time in days, and I just wanted an iced coffee (despite the 13 degree temperature outside) and a few minutes to sit on the couch and veg. Fortunately, Joel fell asleep on the way home and is taking an unexpected late afternoon nap. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ready for the Weekend. What can Brown blog for you?
