It’s almost summer vacation! 8230; I think it will snow today Musky, what do you think? 8221; And yes, I do wonder how is he going to smell when the weather warms up; will he begin to bleed again. As he melts I visualize him walking out into blueberry covered hummocks scattered with spruce trees. He turns as if waving goodbye with his eyes. The journal of a teacher in the alaskan bush. I am back from a conference in Texas and my mind is still traveling between worlds. The travel from my village to San Antonio took twenty-four hours. I stopped in Nome, visited a friend who is an intern at the radio station, ate homemade split pea soup, and took a tour of the radio station.
