Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Kampala and Kasubi Tombs. Everyone in Uganda belongs to a different tribe and clan. In Ugandan culture you are not allowed to marry someone from your own clan, it is thought to be “inbreeding” of sorts. It was interesting to learn about the history of Uganda’s kingdoms and the cultural practices that remain today. 1) Katie, the guard of the Kasubi Tombs, me and Meiti. 2) Kasubi Tombs (the largest thatched roof hut in the world). 3) Me with a dog at our hostel in Kampala.
