Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Writing from the Port Orford library! Tomorrow is our last day in Oregon and then on to California. We have biked over 300 miles now! Yesterday we were biking on an inland highway most of the day. Not a lot of coastal views but we went through Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Huge dunes, very pretty! Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Wow This whole trip preparation thing is. I'm running around trying to figure out what I'm forgetting. there's always something! My roommates are nice enough not to break out the boxing gloves on me, even though my bike stuff is covering the. Sunday, July 27, 2008. I only have 4 minutes left on my library computer, so I'm going to type fast and MAJORLY paraphrase! I'm in Santa Barbara and we only have 4 or 5 more days of biking! I climbed my last huge hills yesterday and there is not one over 500 feet elevation for the rest of the trip. Did my longest day yesterday, San Luis Obispo to Gaviota St. Beach. Roughly 80 miles with 2 900 foot climbs. Naturally I rolled in around dark! It's hideous. in a good way. :). Kristen's Ride for Ability!

Wednesday, July 23, 2008. On the road again. I've been resting in various wonderful places for the past 4 or 5 days and now I'm back in the saddle. I'm on my way out of Monterey for a short trip to Big Sur. I've met back up with part of the group I've been biking with for a few weeks now, and we are taking it easy today - only 30-45 miles! My estimated date of arrival in San Diego has changed a bit and I'm hoping to be there around the 31st. Still hoping for that champagne and a massage in San Diego!
