Monday, December 5, 2011. Pumpkin Spice Cake with Maple Frosting. This is pretty much the best pumpkin spice cake I have ever had. I think the frosting is what pushed this one over the edge for me. I don't usually lick frosting before it is on the dessert (that's what Ryan is for) but this one made me rethink my stand on being a non-frosting-licker. The candied pecans didn't hurt, either- next time I will double the pecans! 1 1/2 cups flour. 3/4 tsp baking powder. 3/4 tsp baking soda. 3/4 tsp kosher salt.

Sunday, September 4, 2011. The rantings of an angry Army wife :(. I do not get angry easily. For me it's a process really. I'm hurt, upset. And i let it build. But it doesn't happen often. That said. I AM INFURIATED RIGHT NOW. There was no building up this time. I went straight to "stone-cold,punch-you-right-in-the-juglar,giggle-as-i-bury-your-body" ANGRY. Over the line. So far past the line, the line looked like a dot. That sweet little piece of arrogance was telling me how my soldier hadn't seen enough.
