Adventures in reading. No, seriously, that's what this is about. Sunday, February 22, 2015. Book Forty-One - The Princess Diaries - Part Two. I saw The Princess Diaries. Came out and the adults never talked but only made annoying sounds. Charlie Brown was made for kids and the adults just got in the way. But I digress. Posted by Peggy Tryton. Adventures in reading. No, seriously, that's what this is about. Saturday, January 25, 2014. Book Forty - Far From The Madding Crowd - Part Two. About 2/3 of the way though and I do love this book. Mr Thomas Hardy sure does know people. His characters could be people that I know. That's one of my favorite things about Jane Austen! What is there about this work of his that I didn't find in Tess of the d'Urbervilles? No idea. Perhaps I didn't give Tess enough of a chance. Posted by Peggy Tryton. Good Omens...

Adventures in reading. No, seriously, that's what this is about. Saturday, February 22, 2014. Book Forty - Far From The Madding Crowd - Part Three. I finished this book weeks ago and really liked it. I have several pages of notes but haven't taken the time to put them in post form yet. I shall endeavor to do that soon! I have thirty books to go to complete the list. I'm saving Enid Blyton and AA Milne for the very end. I suppose I should go with. Posted by Peggy Tryton. Links to this post.

Adventures in reading. No, seriously, that's what this is about. Sunday, March 9, 2014. Book Forty - Far From The Madding Crowd - Part Four. Bathsheba Everdene, a woman who is beautiful and desired by men. (Seriously, who would name a child Bathsheba? Parents who want her to become a physicist? Bathsheba was the original Everdene even though she spelled it differently. She was also stubborn, but I don’t reckon she did much hunting. Hardy seems to be a feminist one moment and critical of women the next.
