heavilysoaked: July 2014
http://heavilysoaked.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 29, 2014. I first started cross stitching when I was in 6th grade when my mom brought a bunch of patterns and thread. Not too long ago, I found boxes of thread that my mom had neatly organized. I thought we'd lost them after several moves, but there they were, waiting for a comeback. I went to different libraries and Barnes and Noble to find some patterns and I cannot keep my hands off them since. Recently. I've been also teaching myself how to do embroidery. Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Night photos from Clearlake - Still learning but it was mighty fun! Monday, August 19, 2013. The trip to Clearlake, CA is now a great memory - it was relaxing, serene, and charming. My friends and I found an amazing lake house on Airbnb. Where we spent a weekend eating, kayaking, laying in the sun, and just be lazy. The most asked question in the house throughout the weekend was "What time is it? I am truly blessed to have my amazing friends. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. There is...

Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Craft Journal: Flower Square Crochet Blanket. I finally finished my crochet blanket. I started this on Jan 4th and finished it on Jan 22nd. What took the longest was blocking each square. And then, edge/trim took second longest as I wanted to find perfect color combo for trim - I can't even keep count of how much time I undid the trim. I wanted to make it look colorful without going way too overboard. Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Ginger Concentrated Syrup, and Onion too! 4) Whe...

heavilysoaked: November 2013

Monday, November 25, 2013. When I was staying at my friend's in Paris, my friend raved about cherry stem tea. My friend says this helped a lot with her hands and feet, and bloating. When I get on planes or time to time, my feet get puffy to the point that it's painful to walk so I figured I'd buy a pack of 100g of dried cherry stems. Internet claims that it's good for blood circulation, lowering cholesterol, bloating, and liver but who knows - I always enjoy drinking a nice cup of tea. People that I stalk.

Sunday, December 22, 2013. Finally, Time Travel. This summer when I went to Italy and France, I was determined to take some Dear Photograph inspired pictures. I have stacks of albums filled with photos taken all over Europe and it took me days to select photos to bring along the trip.I took about a dozen photos and man, I'm a bit disappointed and regretting on why I didn't take my time re-taking all the photos. So here are some OK ones that I selected but still not what I hoped for. Now, though, I think ...

Sunday, March 29, 2015. Last weekend, my friend and I went to Cindy Taylor's Art Studio in Napa Valley to attend Qiang Huang. S workshop. This was my very. First time attending a workshop. On top of that, I'm a complete beginner in oil painting. Needless to say, I was nervous, curious, and anxious. Thankfully, Cindy had organized a little soiree with Qiang the evening before the workshop where we got to meet fellow students/artists and Qiang and his lovely wife, Song. In all, I must say it was quite an e...

heavilysoaked: Milou
http://heavilysoaked.blogspot.com/2014/05/milou.html
Sunday, May 11, 2014. It's been 6 years since Milou came into my life. Sometimes, I just feel the happiest laying next to her facing each other and staring into her doggy eyes. And other times, I realize how much white hair she has around her face. At those times, I want to ignore the fact that she's getting older. But I know she'll always be my little baby. heavilysoaked: October 2013

Monday, October 28, 2013. Rose Bowl Flea Market (Los Angeles), Thrift Town (San Francisco), and Le Marais (Paris) were very kind to me this year. I quite enjoy going to vintage and thrift stores and of course, flea markets. Through the years I've frequented those places my reasonings were always volatile - I want something unique, I want cheap clothes, I want to up-cycle! Whatever the real reason may be it's a great excuse to feel the high when you find a gem. Rose bowl flea market. People that I stalk.
