Penciled Addresses: Part Deux

Wednesday, July 2, 2014. I've had a wonderful birthday celebration this year. It was just what I needed to remind me that I have some of the best people in my life. The celebrations started in New Orleans because I was there for work. And when in New Orleans, only two things matter:. My co-workers and I headed down to Bourbon Street one afternoon to experience the drag in the daylight. Not pretty. Side note: there was shooting ON Bourbon two days after I left. Yikes. I look like a unicorn. I received som...

Penciled Addresses: Part Deux: So Fun: San Francisco, Part II

http://kristinmarlin.blogspot.com/2014/04/so-fun-san-francisco-part-ii.html

Saturday, April 5, 2014. So Fun: San Francisco, Part II. Day two, mom and I took on the city as "typical tourists." Yeah, we did the whole sightseeing/double decker bus. It really is a great way to see the city. Especially when you want to get the lay of the land. It was a cold, windy day . . . but we managed. Baby Rhys even made the trip and was an absolute doll the whole day. Mom was definitely taken with him. Maybe he was a little taken, too! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I hate thermal anything.

Friday, April 4, 2014. So Fun: San Francisco, Part I. Two weeks ago, I treated my mom to a trip to visit one of my favorite cities, San Francisco. She celebrated a milestone birthday back in December, and as part of her present, I took her on a maiden voyage to the left coast. San Fran was the easy choice to show her some of the fun California has to offer. We took a trip to Sonoma, as well. It was a beautiful weekend and we really had the best weather . . . hello, springtime! Breathtaking at every angle.

Penciled Addresses: Part Deux: More Cali-time

http://kristinmarlin.blogspot.com/2014/06/more-cali-time.html

Monday, June 9, 2014. I spent the month of May in California. Both north and south. And the weather was awfully lovely. How cute was my hotel courtyard? Since I was there for 4 weeks, I probably won't be going back for awhile. But I sure could go for a beach right about now . . . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I have lived in Texas my entire life. I enjoy champagne and require 12 hours of sleep a night. I spend the majority of my time on airplanes. I hate thermal anything. View my complete profile.

Sunday, February 23, 2014. Texas girls don't do snow. Insert picture of Boston snow here.). I was in Boston for 2 weeks. For those of you who don't know my feelings on Boston, 2 weeks is 2 weeks too long. The city is gorgeous. The snow, however, is not. The last photo was taken at the airport when I was trying to leave . . . I surprisingly got out. No thanks to the 2 massholes that argued next to me on the flight. Keep it classy, Bean Town. Life With the Parks: Happy 3rd Birthday, Jemmabear!

http://lifewiththeparks.blogspot.com/2012/09/happy-3rd-birthday-jemmabear.html

Life With the Parks. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Happy 3rd Birthday, Jemmabear! Last week we celebrated Jemma's third birthday. I cannot believe that we have already had three years with this precious, spunky, beautiful, sweet girl in our lives. The time has flown by and she has brought so much joy to our lives. She just gets funnier and funnier as the time goes by and we love every minute with her. There were also cupcakes, "3" cookies, and mini cherry and apple pies. Little hands hard at work on crafts.

http://lufkinwalkers.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Two and a Half Lawyers. Keeping up with Anders. Monday, June 27, 2011. Proof that Anders is definitely my child. He likes to dance and will do so on command! I'm a very happy momma. When Daddy goes to the deer lease, we practice our dancing skills! In other news, he is also saying "Momma" now. Stay tuned for new videos of Anders cruising around the house practicing his walking skills. I can't believe our big baby will be a year old in just two weeks! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). So, I'm bad at blogging.

Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Back from blog vacation. After a blog vacation it is overwhelming trying to start again (life is tough - right? You have so many pictures and stuff - you don't want to even think about where to begin. So, here is my attempt. Look at these sweet legs - getting ready for fball season. Fernando and Grayson are already playing the LSU fight song and watching old games. This usually starts about mid July. I celebrated a bday end of June. My birthday pic with my kiddos. We miss this fam.

An ubiquitous journey to self-discovery. Typical Tuesday →. January 24, 2011 · 7:48 pm. The journey begins… NOW! So the journey begins! I’ve begun a 21-day fast, the Camp Gladiator 2011 fitness challenge, and a purposeful journey toward a better — more focused — me. I’ll definitely tweet and I’ll occasionally check in on facebook, but I’m planning to spend most of my time here. Writing, reading, and reflecting. Speaking of facebook… After. Until later tonight or tomorrow 🙂. Typical Tuesday →. You are co...

Wednesday, January 25, 2012. My sweet boy has pneumonia. He has been the sickest here than he ever was at home. He is on the mend, but I am missing these sweet little faces. As for this one.She is keeping me busy! She loves chips as much as her mommy and refers to them as "chicas". Not sure where that came from, but she says it often! Did I mention busy and causing heart attacks? This very moment confirmed our limit of 2 children! Saturday, January 14, 2012. The ride down is fun, but the walk back up&#46...

An ubiquitous journey to self-discovery. Late night remembrance…. And the winner is… →. April 19, 2011 · 8:08 am. I’ve prolly used this title before… But I find this John Mayer song to be part of the soundtrack for my life, so until I “get there” – it will be what I say:. Something’s missing, and I don’t know how to fix it. Something’s missing, and I don’t know what it is… No I don’t know what it is. At all. Not sure. I’m feeling unfulfilled? Highly possible. I’m missing risk-taking? I think I’m en...

https://absolutelysharby.wordpress.com/about

An ubiquitous journey to self-discovery. Life’s a journey. We find ourselves moving along the path with many muses and manuscripts to follow. This blog is about listening to those muses and reading those manuscripts. You may find that you agree with my notes and find a little inspiration of your own. Or you may find that you disagree and think I’ve lost my mind. In any case, the thoughts are mine and I’m embracing them as part of my growth. I’m enjoying the journey. 🙂. January 31, 2011 · 9:33 pm. 🙂 And if you push me to go longer than what my breathing or muscles want to give, I’m going home! LOL And it spills over into other areas of my life. I grow tired and frustrated easily. I’ll keep moving, but I’m not one to stick with something that doesn’t feel too good for too long. Talk to me crazy and you can kick rocks! An ubiquitous journey to self-discovery. Something’s Missing →. April 12, 2011 · 10:36 pm. Late night remembrance…. I’ve returned to journaling for the time being. It helps my brain and keeps me from sinking. While journaling tonight, I found these quotes from the book. Eat, Pray, Love. And felt they were still worth remembering. This particular quote I do like very much:. Eat, Pray, Love. Guess I’ll head back to bed now. Share this: from AbsolutelySharby. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). And the...

Rape Culture and Institutional Denial as Backlash. June 25, 2015. I am not alone in feeling overwhelmed and exhausted from the past year at Mary Washington. We’ve had too many deep, hurtful losses: personally, privately, and publicly; we’ve lost loved ones and trusted colleagues to cancer. We’ve lost brilliant and loving students to illness, to suicide, and unconscionably to murder. One of those issues has been the campus rape culture a recognized reality nationally:. 2) We are NOT saying that administra...
