Mrs. Miller's Miles: Henry: 12 Months

http://kristinmcauliffe.blogspot.com/2015/06/henry-12-months.html

Mrs Millers Plan Book. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Did I really write that? Yes, and I'm writing it a bit late. Henry turned 1. I was sick with a cold, threw a party, and then we moved on. I think being sick helped me not lose it emotionally, but I still look at him and think "Where did my little baby go? Here are some highlights from his twelfth month! Henry turned one in the concrete jungle! He still has delicious chunks on his arms and legs. Henry plays by himself multiple times a day. He will sit in...

Mrs. Miller's Miles: My Running Story

http://kristinmcauliffe.blogspot.com/p/my-running-story.html

Mrs Millers Plan Book. I began running 2002. My town has a fabulous Thanksgiving Day Race (Over 15,000 people running through the neighborhoods in my hometown! I decided I wanted to run it, so I began "training" for it. AKA I ran 2-3 miles when I felt like it. I ended up finishing a 4.78 mile race in just about an hour; from then on I was hooked. (Photo below circa 2008). Then, I moved to NYC, finished my bachelors degree, and got married. I completed my first half marathon in 2009. I want to give back.

I've been so busy between Henry, social commitments, and my business that this was placed on the back burner. And there have been runs! So many fun things going on, let's catch up. We have been running. It was really windy. Thank you NYC "spring". I thought my running jacket was retired.alas, this was from this past week! We have been enjoying going out more. We had Henry's church dedication!

Mrs. Miller's Miles: Henry: 11 Months

http://kristinmcauliffe.blogspot.com/2015/05/henry-11-months.html

Mrs Millers Plan Book. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Our baby is almost one. It's almost been one year since I stopped working, one year since I had a beautifully relaxing week at home, one year since Henry made his (slightly dramatic) entrance into the world. I look at him and think "HOW? How has it been this long? How did we make it? How fast will the next year go? If the past 11 months are any indication, it will go by in the blink of an eye. Here are some great things that happened this month:. He's consi...

Raquo; CHaD Hero Half Marathon Race Recap. CHaD Hero Half Marathon Race Recap. November 13, 2014. I have been terrible about race recaps. Unfortunate, since those are the most fun to write (and read! And since this is supposed to be a. Blog, you’d think I’d be jumping at the opportunity for content. Although my erratic blogging is a topic for another day, I suppose it’s not. Raquo; Making it Work. January 30, 2015. When I think about all the things I love most about running. That long list that makes me excited to get out the door waking up before 5:00 AM to run in place on a moving belt while staring out a dark window is not one of them. Picture from a rare morning when I actually got to run later than 5:00AM. Who would’ve thought, right? The one time it did not start because it was -15? The absolute worst.). Plus the reality is if I. I know this is not unique. That man...

Raquo; Half Marathon Unplugged 2015 Recap. Half Marathon Unplugged 2015 Recap. April 29, 2015. I’m sitting here with a generous glass of wine after a long day. Evan is traveling tonight, so you know what that means: it’s Race Recap time! Only two weeks late. Not so bad given my current track record, right? To be honest, I feel just a teeny bit sheepish after my last post. Whether I felt as fit or fitter as I had been back in October for the CHaD Half. I didn’t have the miles or the confidence. 1 It was a...

Equipment and Preparation for a Marathon — Marathon Slob

http://marathonslob.com/equipment-preparation

Equipment & Preparation. Equipment & Preparation. I realized, that before I could undertake a task such as running a marathon I would need to be prepared and have the right gear. Please note that for someone just starting to run, the only thing you really need is a good pair of running shoes. The first thing you should do before buying anything or running anywhere is to get checked out by your Doctor. 8211; I had an old pair that had done quite a few miles as they were about 15 years old! Equipment & Preparation. Week in review – Week 13. June 10, 2012. A slightly disappointing week in terms of mileage following my exploits in the Celebrate Israel race last Sunday. The overall stats were as follows:. I did 3 runs in total, which is less than I need to do according to my training plan. I did however manage a nice long run today which I felt very comfortable with. Next week, I will definitely stick to the plan! Here are the details of each of the runs:.
