In Search of Peace: Little Angel's Birthday
http://www.manishanair.com/2011/09/little-angels-birthday.html
In Search of Peace. September 23, 2011. Recently my daughter celebrated her 2nd Birthday. Like any mother, I can’t help but wonder at the pace at which kids grow. From a teeny weeny baby, she has become a toddler now and a very naught one too. This time the celebration were low key, just our near and dear ones joined the celebration. We are waiting for her to start school so that she gets her own set of friends and she when she is old enough to let us know how she wants to celebrate it. In Search of Peace.

Raindrops: January 2013
http://ijustremember.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 14, 2013. The fear that is. It was a calm Sunday evening. I had plans for dinner with friends at 8pm. I stay at a place that is one kilometre away from the main road. The area is not connected by buses due to road that is being dug up and filled at regular intervals for the past 6 months for God knows what! That has left the residents with the option of walking to the bus stop on main road or taking an auto for extra charge. Auto guys act as if I dug up the road! I came across a deserted ...

Raindrops: August 2013
http://ijustremember.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 15, 2013. Today when my friend's maid - Rayeema who is in her 60s - came in for work, she greeted her with an Independence Day wish and asked her what did she do special on the day. Rayeema, with a perplexed look on her face, asked my friend: "What's special today? My friend told her: ".we got independence". She said happily: "Oh, is it? Is it showing in TV? Startled over the fact, my friend said: "Rayeema, this is our 67th Independence Day. It happened in 1947.". View my complete profile.

Raindrops: RIP
http://ijustremember.blogspot.com/2014/05/rip.html
Monday, May 26, 2014. Feb 21, 2012. On a pleasant morning in Pune, we drove to Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, Khadki. My friend and then colleague Pradeep and his wife Sreerekha were with me. My anxiety grew as we neared PRC. I'm not going to meet an ordinary friend. I'm going to meet someone whom I have kept on a high pedestal. Someone who was brightening hundreds of lives around through his life that was burning down itself. I wrote to him in the email id Pradeep gave. It was full of my admirati...

In Search of Peace: Before I kick the bucket.............
http://www.manishanair.com/2010/10/before-i-kick-bucket.html
In Search of Peace. October 30, 2010. Before I kick the bucket. I really loved the movie Bucket List. Quite a thought provoking movie, the crux of the story is to live all your dreams in one life that you have. The movie inspired me to write my own bucket list.the things which I want to do before I kick the bucket. 1) Learn Bhratnatyam from Kalakshetra. 2) See the mighty Himalayas,. 3) Go on a world tour with my daughter. 5) Have my own home where all the interiors will be done by me. In Search of Peace: Hello Paapi!
http://www.manishanair.com/2010/11/hello-paapi.html
In Search of Peace. November 12, 2010. PaapiThat's what my daughter calls her father fondly. The first word she uttered when she was 7 months old was not "Amma" (mother) it was Papa! Initially I did feel bad and little jealous. But then we all know the special relationship all fathers share with their daughters. And that girls are always "Daddy's Girls" (though I beg to differ). She started by calling him "papa" and as time went by she started calling him "Paape" and now its "Paapi". In Search of Peace.

In Search of Peace: Go Green....nah...GO PINK this Month!!
http://www.manishanair.com/2010/10/go-greennahgo-pink-this-month.html
In Search of Peace. October 19, 2010. Go Green.nah.GO PINK this Month! As any girl I love the colour PINK.but I am not talking about the colour here. I am referring to the Breast Cancer Awareness month. As a human, we all have the tendency to think that the worse could never happen to us. Yes, we all hear about the breast cancer awareness programs- through websites, newspapers, social networking sites etc. but how many of us actually stop, think and do our bit to spread awareness. Well, I don't. Today, I...

In Search of Peace: Heartfelt thanks............... Part One...
http://www.manishanair.com/2012/11/heartfelt-thanks-part-one.html
In Search of Peace. November 3, 2012. Heartfelt thanks. Part One. I hated hospitals. Period. I hated the acrid smell of disinfectant and medicines, I averted my eyes when I see blood, made face when I see people coughing, give sympathetic looks to people who who were screaming in pain. The only time I was admitted in the hospital, I ensured that I went into a so called "boutique maternity" hospitals where the rooms are clean, no smell, nurses who were ever smiling.
