ZoesMom: December 2012
http://zoesmom.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thoughts, ramblings, lots of Zoe. Its been two weeks since my life and my whole families lives were completely rocked by the shootings in Newtown. I can't quite believe it has only been two weeks. It feels like so much longer, but I am no closer to understanding or to feeling like some change has been enacted to prevent this. I know that both of those things are a long way off if they are even possible. A quick update on my family. It has been awhile. And for so little effort, it is a double bonus. I hav...

http://zoesmom.blogspot.com/2012/05/sad-sad-sad.html
Thoughts, ramblings, lots of Zoe. Sad, Sad, Sad. Sad fact #1: I missed my blogiversary! April 13, 2012 marked the 7th anniversary of ZoesMom. That's pretty significant and I'm very sad I missed celebrating. I'll mark the occassion now by linking to a post from about 7 years ago. There's not much to it, but it is something I would still write today. May 12, 2005. I missed my blogiversary, too! But happy (belated) to you. Hope the work]balance thing works itself out for you soon. Follow me on Twitter.

A text based interface to the Metro-North schedule Web site for wireless devices. I originally built this tool so that I can check Metro-North schedules from my BlackBerry. For some reason the MTA didn't supply an interface like this, nor does it provide a web service to provide results to third parties. You can also download a BlackBerry shortcut icon. That loads this site using your default browser. Written by Daniel Krook. Of Civet Networks Inc.

ZoesMom: September 2012

Thoughts, ramblings, lots of Zoe. Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. The truth is I was almost killed by work, but I managed to pull through and survive. I don't even care to re-hash, but I did learn some really good lessons in the last 6 months or so. I'll share them with you now:. It is possible to spend multiple workdays simply answering emails as they come in. At the end of those days you are exhausted, but feel you've accomplished exactly nothing. Jellybeans can be taken medicinally.

ZoesMom: October 2011
http://zoesmom.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Thoughts, ramblings, lots of Zoe. I received this book from LibraryThing's Early Reviewers program. Is an interesting, sarcastic, humorous, and slightly depressing look at both modern fatherhood and modern parenting. Josh, our hero, is a stay-at-home Dad, or as he calls it a SAHD and the book tells the story of one tumultuous day in his life with two young children. Overall this is a thoughtful and enjoyable book that I think any parent can appreciate. I felt I had to share such good news. Lucky me. ...

ZoesMom: January 2012
http://zoesmom.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Thoughts, ramblings, lots of Zoe. Tuesday Shoesday: New Kicks for Zoe. The other day Zoe said to me, "Mom, a bunch of kids at school have these sneakers I really like." Then she paused and said quite sheepishly, "Can I get a pair? As if she was afraid to ask. She should know that I recognize the importance of the right pair of shoes. I was a little disappointed in her at that moment, but I got over it and I said of course she could have the cool sneakers. The next morning I happened to get an email from ...

ZoesMom: May 2012

Thoughts, ramblings, lots of Zoe. On being a pin cushion. Let me start this off by saying I am fine now. I am on the mend and will be good as new in no time. On Monday I was scheduled for a minor surgical procedure much like the one I had last summer. Since that procedure went so easily I really wasn't concerned about this one and was really just annoyed by the inconvenience and timing since work is so crazy right now. Gregory = friend = Bluedog.
