Joanna's Whimsical Life: August 2015
http://lifewhim.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, 30 August 2015. I opened the blind this morning to the sight of a cute fox sitting graciously in the middle of the garden lawn. Take my word, I have no picture to prove it. By the time grabbed the camera and got it ready the proud owner of an enviable tail had almost completely disappeared at the back of the garden and I only caught a glimpse of the said tail. Wednesday, 26 August 2015. Sunday, 23 August 2015. It was great to swim in the sea this morning! Thursday, 20 August 2015. A najbardziej l...

http://lifewhim.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 31 March 2015. Ealing horse and lion! See how Mr Google 'beautified' my picture of a horse greeting shoppers at The Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre? I must say I prefer the picture of a lion, left alone by Mr Google.:-). If you think it is still sunny and nice, stop. It's been raining for a good while now. :-). Monday, 30 March 2015. Sunday, 29 March 2015. Getting into South Ken. Saturday, 28 March 2015. Parson's nose and that by Gogol. Refers to a number of the final few caudal. Auch, an owl!

http://lifewhim.blogspot.com/2015/10/kensal-green-and-around.html
Tuesday, 20 October 2015. Kensal Green and around. In the run-up to November 1st which is All Saints Day, there are often cemeteries featured in my posts. I do not even plan it that way, it just happens. After all, mine is a whimsical life. -). Last Monday meant getting to Kensal Rise for me. Once the job was done I awarded myself with a bit of sighseeing. A short distance along Harrow Road and I found myself in front of the main gate:. These looked like very old graves:. On leaving the cemetery, I was a...

Joanna's Whimsical Life: June 2015
http://lifewhim.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Sacred geometry, sacred rectangles. Going through a bunch of cards and notes, I came across Andy Black's website address. He was probably one of the many people I've encountered through my work with Octavia Foundation. You may like to see his works by clicking here. As they remind me of my friend's Sylwia Nadgrodkiewicz's. Fascination with the 'sacred geometry', I shall quote his artist's statement:. A/B = B/(A B) .is the algebraic expression of a ratio called the GOLDEN SECTION.

Joanna's Whimsical Life: November has arrived
http://lifewhim.blogspot.com/2015/11/november-has-arrived.html
Monday, 2 November 2015. All Saints' Day in London to many Poles meant a walk to a cemetery. Too far to visit the family and friends' graves back in Poland, they chose a nearby necropoly. Cycling yesterday I stopped at St Mary's graveyard in Perivale. There was a Polish man who came to light a candle or two on a grave there. We chatted briefly. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Joanna's Whimsical Life: January 2015
http://lifewhim.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 31 January 2015. Today I met a lady with a bunch of daffodils. Apparently, she was Welsh and we had a nice chat about St David, patron saint of her homeland, and the leek which is replaced with a daff in the lapel on the 1st of March. Much easier to walk about with a flower in the lapel than with a sleek leek. Dining at a local Afgan eatery I listened to a life story of a 25-year old waiter. Fascinating! A few more pics of the day:. Friday, 30 January 2015. Thursday, 29 January 2015. If I had t...
