Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Where are you from? Working in Scotland, with all Scots, in Scotland's capital, I am bound to be questioned about my accent (or lack there of, as I like to think of it). It was pretty novel at first and I knew that whenever I opened my mouth people would automatically know I was not from around here. Here are 10 things you probably don't know about me (but maybe you do! 1 White chocolate is my favourite kind of chocolate. 2 I was in the school choir from 6th-12th grade (middle and high school) and I had a solo in 8th grade ('I Can Fly' by R. Kelley). 3 All through middle school I wore big, black, baggy clothes with skater shoes. Then promptly went 'preppy' as a freshmen. The sun is out!

Friday, June 05, 2009. Today I completed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I wanted to reread it before the movie. Comes out in July. I decided to listen to it on audio this time around and it was wonderful. It occupied me for about 2 weeks on the bus to work, lunch break and bus ride home. It was a great distraction and has reignited my love for all things Harry Potter. Now I know the movie will not be nearly as good as the book, but I am still excited! Posted by Katie@The Mommy Miles.

We traveled down to Frankenmuth Michigan in August and stayed at the Bavarian Inn. Think of a cross between Chuck-E-Cheese and a Bavarian village and that was where we stayed. Great if you have kids. Saturday, October 27, 2007. Okay so Taylor has been cracking us up this week with the use of her vocal cords! She makes the silliest sounds and she gets so excited! I managed to capture a few on video so here they are! We have been singing this song every night before bed since Taylor has been born and even longer than that so she is very familar with the words and has been getting so worked up when we start singing it! Sunday, February 17, 2008. So we have survived moving to a new house! These past few weeks have been just craziness and right now I don't have internet service at the new house so I'm out at my parent's house right now and figured I'd update! The move actually went super smooth we managed to get everything moved over in one day and we had extra incentive to get things orgnanized at the new house because the day after we moved in we had Taylor's birthday party at the house! She enjoyed her birthday cake!

Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Birthdays and Christmas Oh My! Friday the 21st was Connor's 5th Birthday! He was so excited the whole day and he couldn't wait for his party to start! The babysitter even threw him a mini party earlier and gave him gifts and they ate cupcakes! I am so happy that they are with a great baby sitter who I know takes good care of them! He got some awesome gifts though and we have already finished his own hand written thank you cards! Happy Birthday baby boy! Looks like a blast!
