The left tent is the community tent where we ate all of meals and got to hang out, the orange tent is the cooking tent. Watching the sunset on the landing pad. Our view down the valley. Sunday, September 8, 2013. So many pictures from this summer, we're finally getting around to some more of them. No rested for the wicked? Nono rest for alaskans, that's it. Once we got back from kodiak we headed to the remote copper river to dipnet for our subsistence salmon. Nate's holding the net and scott has it on a rope to fight the current. Kristen's dad holding up a beaut. Just a quick stop for 13 salmon then back to Wasilla. We picked up G-ma, uncle tom and Carol and took a hike in Hacther's pass.

Friday, March 21, 2014. Our Spring Break was pretty unpredictable. We wanted to go to Valdez but it was supposed to snow 8-12 inches for 8 days straight. So we decided to do a backpacking trip up Arch Angel Valley in Hatchers Pass. Lucy wearing her new Doggles. She's not a big fan of them but at least she isn't going snow blind. Saturday, September 27, 2014. Chasing the summer sun! Hiking in Crested Butte. Lucy and Reese sitting for treats. Huge waterfall outside of Gunnison. Camping with the horses in Buffalo Peaks. Stopping for a bite of grass. Blue sky, beautiful day. I convinced my parents to do an early hike up Yankee Boy Basin to watch the sunrise. There were still several snow fields leftover from winter. Saturday, August 24, 2013. Adventures in Denali Kodiak and Katmai. Kristen and her parents took the shuttle bus into the park. You can only take the shuttle bus or tour to get into the park. The park's statistic says that only 30% of people that visit the park actually see the mountain. We were very lucky to see it!
