What it can do. The MTS Water Plant is designed to run off waste heat to cooling towers, radiators, exhausts and flue stacks in excess of 70C. When this waste energy is available for capture, the process will show considerable cost advantages over other systems whilst producing a purified product. The system can also be operated from stored solar heat and solar power or any other generated heat source. This power consumption is reclaimed and re-used in the system.

What it can do. Hayden Stein developed the novel MTS technology due to the environmentally unsustainable practices that he observed in time spent working at one of Australia’s largest waste liquid recyclers. Once the first bench-plants were built he spent a great deal of spare time processing samples that passed through the recycling company’s operations, each and every sample he processed was of a superior level of purity as confirmed by lab tests.

What it can do. The science behind the MTS is based on enhanced evaporation using a combination of controlled temperature, pressure and volume. Evaporation is encouraged by increasing the kinetic energy of the liquid molecules thus providing high purity vapour separation. This is condensed to a clean targeted liquid and minimal waste stream. Pressure in these contaminated liquids is a maximum of 6" WC and temperatures are down to 75% below distillation temperatures. Demonstration and Sampling Plants.

The MTS Water Plant removes salts, heavy metals and chemicals from water; Swan River/sea water, alumina refinery process water, oily bilge water and chemically contaminated water. From contaminated hydrocarbons the MTS Hydrocarbon Plant removes; sulphur, zinc, ash, moisture, heavy metals and leaves decontaminated product available for re-use. What it can do. The MTS produces no emissions to atmosphere, it operates in a sealed system at near atmospheric pressure. The MTS plant runs off waste heat from cooling towers, flue stacks, coal-fired power stations, diesel generators or any other liquid or gas heat source. The MTS condensates emissions from flue stacks and exhausts to lower total emissions by up to 90%. The remaining emissions can be captured, stored or reused. Temperatures are low 38dgC 150dgC (depending on the product to be separated).
