Het programma is ontwikkeld door medici en bestaat uit drie fasen: BEGINNEN, STOPPEN en VOLHOUDEN. De vragenlijst heeft ingevuld maakt u een afspraak bij uw huisarts, die bepaalt dan samen met u of en welke nicotinevervangers of medicatie er voorgeschreven wordt. Daarnaast krijgt u uitleg over het programma van KSYOS StopRoken. Het is niet in alle gevallen noodzakelijk om een afspraak bij uw huisarts te maken. Ondersteuning door uw huisarts. De effectiviteit van hulpmiddelen neemt dankzij de coaching sterk toe. Nicotinevervangers zorgen ervoor dat er ondanks het stoppen met roken toch nicotine in uw lichaam komt, waardoor u minder last van ontwenningsverschijnselen heeft. Wanneer u stopt met roken. Keren na 20 minuten. Bloeddruk en polsslag terug naar het normale niveau. Zijn na 8 uur. Nicotine en koolstofmonoxide niveaus gehalveerd en zuurstof niveaus weer normaal. Zal na 24 uur. Alle koolstofmonoxide uit het lichaam verdwenen zijn. De longen beginnen met het opruimen van slijm en andere rookoverblijfselen. Is er na 48 uur. Geen nicotine meer in het lichaam. Het smaak- en reukvermogen zijn sterk verbeterd. Gaat het ademhalen na 72 uur. Verbetert na 2 tot 12 weken.
