Friday, March 30, 2018. The bridge and beyond. The longest bridge in Sarawak (and 3rd longest in Malaysia) is the Batang Sadong bridge that opened for travellers since October 2016. I see the bridge! Last Saturday, we went for a short road trip to the bridge, and covering few villages and small towns beyond it. It wasn't a fabulous day for a road adventure but the green countryside view was worth the drive. Banana trees on both sides. One of the few big barrages. Down the bridge on way back to Kuching.

Thursday, April 30, 2015. Learnt this nutritious soup from my mum. This soup is sweet yet slightly bitter because of the herbs. 2 herbs used in this soup. Actually these 2 herbs are part of the famous Foochow pek ting eyok. So this soup taste milder than the pek ting soup. Monday, August 10, 2015. Since the steamboat dinner we threw on 2nd day of CNY, we have not have it and our hot pot has been sitting idly since then. One fine Sunday when I were suddenly lost on what to cook for dinner, I suggested to my family on having a steam boat. Everyone readily agreed as long as they could forgo rice. My family.
