Saturday, December 5, 2009. Old Canning Jar Lid Ornaments and A Framed Christmas Card. This week I made some cute ornaments. I'd seen the little snowman somewhere, and decided to look up exactly how it was made, and found someone had made a shadow box ornament. Of course, I had to Cherry it up, and here's my versions! Friday, May 7, 2010. How To Print On Muslin; How To Make A Purse From An Old Book-Tutorials. Have you noticed the purses made from hardback books? There's a lot of free images out there, so I knew I could find book covers, and I have ink in the printer, muslin leftover from my quilting days, and a bottle of liquid starch. Bits and Pieces: Making Faux Mercury Glass

http://kudzukween.blogspot.com/2014/03/making-faux-mercury-glass.html

Friday, March 21, 2014. Making Faux Mercury Glass. I know I've been gone a couple years or so, but I'm back, and I found an easy tutorial to make the popular faux mercury glass. Isn't that pretty? Just like the antique glass. This is a close-up of mine-it takes a little over an hour to make, and that's drying time. I set a Mason jar inside the vase, because I'm not sure if the paint will flake off or not. Now, let's make one, you'll need to gather these supplies:. 2) Krylon Looking Glass Spray Paint.

Monday, November 8, 2010. Winter Wearables-Recycle A Sweater Into A Cap And Mittens! Yesterday I pulled out some sweaters that I'd set aside just for this project. These were all given to me or cost somewhere between a dime and a dollar. I cut out and sewed 7 caps in half a day; the added touches took me a while longer! I didn't get before pictures.didn't even think about it! And here's a mitten tutorial by Waxwing over at Craftster. Thank you for the great tutorial, I love it:D. Here's what you need:.

Bits and Pieces: Kitchen Ware Wind Chime-Fifth Disease

http://kudzukween.blogspot.com/2010/04/kitchen-ware-wind-chime-fifth-disease.html

Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Kitchen Ware Wind Chime-Fifth Disease. These aren't vintage or antique, just some I picked up at yard sales. I didn't think it would sound as pretty as the silver plate spoons and forks, but it really does! I nailed holes in it with hammer and nail, and then used fishing line and sinkers as crimping beads. Out on the tree with my other tin treasures.a cat chasing a bird:D. My little baby man.home for 3 days with Fifth Disease. He feels much much better! I love the windchimes!

http://trinketsvintagetreasures.blogspot.com/2012/05/veggies-herbs-and-chickens.html

Sunday, May 27, 2012. Veggies, Herbs, and Chickens. I love this time of year, when I can finally get back out to my gardens! This Spring was so strange, with 80 degree temps. in February. Many of my perrenials emerged too soon, then got badly nipped when the fridgid weather returned. Most everything recovered nicely, though my Hostas still look pretty sad. Everything is now lush and green. especially the weeds! This planter, in dire need of a fresh coat of paint, is my Sweet Potato bin. I grow my own...
