KUEST for Excellence: SWNTBS

Empowering Kids to Serve and Lead in Ministry. Thursday, September 27, 2012. I am a huge proponent of framing things the right way, and I am often amazed at the sheer number of days and weeks that can pass by while we are trying to convince others that we need to progress. It was while I was dreaming about that reality that this thought came to me:. What if we could just say what needed to be said? In other words, what if, rather than having to offer explanations for every change and ramp our teams up be...

Empowering Kids to Serve and Lead in Ministry. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Dealing with Opposition - Part 2. Part 2: Opposition from Leadership. So before we look at what to do in these situations, first identify if you are being opposed:. Do you find yourself routinely denied opportunities by your leader that freely come to others? Do you sense a negative attitude specifically aimed toward you from your leader? Do you have a history of being the "rebel"? In other words, is there possibly a justifiable ...

KUEST for Excellence: March 2012
http://kuestblog.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Empowering Kids to Serve and Lead in Ministry. Thursday, March 29, 2012. What are you REALLY leading? The fulfillment of our leadership is not found in where we arrive, but how many people we are surrounded by when we get there. Isn't it true that we most often talk about our leadership in terms of "ministry"? As John Maxwell quoted, "If you say you're a leader, but no one is following, you're just going for a walk.". Did we influence souls to accept Christ? What an honor to stand as the First among equa...

KUEST for Excellence: Setting the Culture

Empowering Kids to Serve and Lead in Ministry. Thursday, September 27, 2012. But the idea stuck with me, and has become a constant reminder to pay attention to the details of my life. Little do we realize that every aspect of who we are is an aspect of who we are. the way we respond to authority, the way we lead others, the way we spend our free time, the way we choose our fashion."everything about us says something about us.". The style and passion of ministries will vary from leader to leader and place...

KUEST for Excellence: Dealing with Opposition - Part 1

Empowering Kids to Serve and Lead in Ministry. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Dealing with Opposition - Part 1. Opposition on the Team). The weight barely budged. Just at that moment I looked up into the mirror in front of me and saw one of my friends STANDING on the weight. With a great crash I released the bars while my friend fell to the ground laughing. There can be a difference between resistance and opposition. Resistance has the ability to build strength in our character, our integrity, our proc...

KUEST for Excellence: Hands and Knees Leadership
http://kuestblog.blogspot.com/2012/11/hands-and-knees-leadership.html
Empowering Kids to Serve and Lead in Ministry. Thursday, November 08, 2012. Hands and Knees Leadership. How we interpret the information that is coming at us in the form of anecdotes is critical to our ability to lead strongly. The same is true of the things we experience. If we were to only take our experiences at face value how many diamonds would we miss along the way? There could be a virtual treasure trove left behind if we did not have the sense to look deeper at our experiences. Now imagine that t...

Empowering Kids to Serve and Lead in Ministry. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Let The KUEST Begin! I want to take a this opportunity to write a little bit about the passion Kathy and I have for the KUEST for Excellence Solution. KUEST for Excellence: August 2012
http://kuestblog.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Empowering Kids to Serve and Lead in Ministry. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. But bigger is only half the equation for our kids. Not only are they growing in size, strength and age, they are also growing in independence, thought and emotion. Their idea of the World and how it works is growing as well. Their perspective of love and acceptance, friendship and God is developing at a fast pace. There is no question our kids will get bigger. Our question is, will they get better? Are we serving the Word BETTER?
