How could I forget? December 24, 2011 · 2:06 pm. Thursday we made the trip to Maryland. It was a 10 hour trip — only 3 hours more than a trip to Nick’s parents, but still, I expected a boring long trip. It actually wasn’t too bad. Nick drove the whole way. The first half was interstates and the last half of the day was state highways, so there were new roads and plenty to look at. I needed my Grandma today! March 21, 2012 · 11:42 pm. Everyone who reads this blog has already heard our news by now, but for the sake of updating the blog…WE’RE HAVING A BABY! It makes me laugh that Haley’s looking at the picture checking out the baby. I have to admit, I came up with the idea for the picture, but Nick sure had fun taking it! Norm and Cassi Beatty. I love to see the temple. The other night we were able to sneak away to the temple. I always love the feeling I get pulling onto the temple grounds. The well manicured lawns and the way the weather always seems to be so dreamy (you gotta love Florida in February) remind me of how I need to try harder to make the temple a priority. Norm and Cassi Beatty. Remember way back when, almost a year ago to date, when I wrote this. It's hard to believe how uncertain our future was then. I didn't have a job and we were moving back to Florida with hearts full of faith that we would be presented with the opportunites we needed to sustain ourselves for the following year and be able to have sufficient for our needs. Our prayers were answered and things fell into place. The date was marked on every single family members calenders for months!

Norm and Cassi Beatty. 2013 was a good year for us. We started the year off in New York and have now ended it back in Florida. Ironically, the same exact place we were 4 years ago when we started this med school journey. We survived our first (and hopefully last) blizzard. Welcomed our sweetest baby, Luke. Spent way too much time away from Norm. Became aunts and uncle again, and then again. Moved back to Florida. Had to put my big girl panties on, buck up and get a job. Lost my patience one too many times.
