For What It's Worth.: February 2013
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Tuesday, February 26, 2013. To my utter embarrassment, I started crying. This was one of the few moments where I had no idea what to do – go to her and give her some money, ask her what she needed and where she had to go, call up some authorities or just let her be. What would you have done? Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Ya, I am sort of short of words today.). So, I rushed back in, got one of these fancy bottles my sister had given me and generously applied it. Final...

For What It's Worth.: Charting Parenting Expectations
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2014/06/charting-parenting.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. I remember one of my friends once mentioning that she is planning to have kids. 8221;, I asked casually. She sounded surprised at the question. “Because I am going to be 30! Everyone my age already is a mother.”. 8220;But that really can’t be the criteria for wanting kids.”. 8220;You already are a mother. You don’t know the pressure we go through”. Hmm Before I start this post, let’s get a couple of things out of the way:. Of course, there ar...

For What It's Worth.: September 2013
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Wednesday, September 11, 2013. I am awkward and socially inept. So, when I was a teen, I was sure that I would grow out of it and blossom into this lovely, graceful and assertive woman, who would be every woman’s best friend and every man’s secret desire. Instead the dangly teenager grew into a dangly woman. The tripping-over-my-own-feet traits carried on well into the late-twenties, and the brain-freeze during conversations continued unabated. When we went to her h...

For What It's Worth.: Pizza
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2014/06/pizza.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Thursday, June 19, 2014. So, if my understanding is right, pizza has few basic rules:. So well, if those are the rules, I broke all of them, since this is what it looked like, and it was yummilicious! More importantly, the 3.5 yr old son ate three pieces of it, and liked it. So my day was made. Ginger: 1” piece. Basil and Parsley: Few leaves. Green, yellow and red capsicum: 1/8 part each. Balsamic Vinegar: 1 Tbsp. White Sugar: 1.5 Tsp. Brown Sugar: 0.5 tsp. Taking t...

For What It's Worth.: May 2013
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Thursday, May 30, 2013. It started in 1853. 1853 was arguably one of the most memorable years in the world history. It was the year when Levi Strauss and. Tissot were founded. It was also the year when the Potato Chips were first prepared. Closer home however, 1853 was important for a wholly different reason - It was the year when the first railway train ran from Bombay to Thane. Crawled would be a better word - the train, Aag Gadi (How apt is that? Tanding: This in...

For What It's Worth.: January 2014
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Friday, January 17, 2014. Blogathon Post 14: The Questionable dilemma. R's Mom had done a series of posts on answers to some "whys" here. My son , unlike other kids, does not ask 'Why'. He asks "Where". All the freaking time. Take this for example:. So, The Cindrella goes to the birthday party.". To the birthday party.". At the prince's house.". In a castle in Chennai.". You get the gist right? 1 "Let's put on socks now". "Where? 3 "You know what time it is? I kid y...

For What It's Worth.: October 2013
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Thursday, October 24, 2013. 8220;It takes about 1 week to get over a cold if you don't take medicine, but only 7 days to get over a cold if you take medicine.”. I am sure you have heard that adage. I can actually see you smirking and smiling knowingly thinking about how some idgits take medicines. Now, give yourself one tight slap. Are you averse to allopathic cures? But cold, as much as it is common, can actually be tackled in the simplest of ways:. And again, make...

For What It's Worth.: The Sambar is calling!
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2014/12/the-sambar-is-calling.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Friday, December 26, 2014. The Sambar is calling! As a family, we have had a jinx which was turning out to be a hard one to break – the jinx of no holidays. In the last 1.5 years, we planned, paid and cancelled five holidays. Five! It was getting to us, to the extent that we wanted to go on a holiday just to get it over with. After a lot of planning and replanning, the Tadoba safari finally happened. It was a gamble to go at this time, but happy that it paid off.

For What It's Worth.: December 2013
http://musingsanddoodlings.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
For What It's Worth. I also opine on:. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. What is your taste of winter? For me, it tastes like spicy Pudina and muted Paalak. The winter has finally (FINALLY) started in Mumbai. In a la Ratatouille scene, the first chilly wind that hit my face immediately transported me back by 23 years, to a December morning in Delhi. The chills had just set in then, and my sister and I wanted to soak in the heat ( Sigh! The Sardi ki Dhoop. My most significantly insignificant memories include-.
