Hope Caroline was baptized, and also the Wissinks were welcomed as new members at Calvary Reformed Church in Holland (Calvary on 8th). Life in the Slow Lane. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Summer 2015- -Lake House, Part 5. This post is just going to be a bunch or random pictures- -mostly of the kids- -of what was going on when we weren't out by the lake or on the boat, etc. There was lots of game-playing and lots of time spent playing with Hope. Of course, Bob has been through many of them as principal, and we have both had the opportunity to fill in as substitute grandparents at BCS. Life in the Slow Lane. Sunday, August 2, 2015. Summer 2015- -Lake House, part 1. Our family vacation week was spent in a wonderful lake house on Pistakee Bay in northern Illinois. We are extremely grateful to Abby and Neil's friend Jens for letting us use his beautiful home. Life in the Slow Lane. Saturday, June 14, 2014. Memorial Day week-end- -Abby's Shower. There was a bridal shower for Abby in Michigan on the Saturday of Memorial Day week-end. This shower was put on by Abby's Waanders aunts, and there were about 30 Waanders ladies of all ages, and 1 Wiers aunt, in attendance. Life in the Slow Lane. Monday, August 10, 2015. Summer 2015- -Lake House, part 4. On Thursday of our week at the lake house, we went in to Chicago for a tour of Wrigley Field. This had been planned by all the kids as a 70th birthday celebration for Bob. It was really fun, and very interesting. We learned a lot about the history of the Cubs and Wrigley Field. Great for baseball fans and even for people who are not huge fans. Cutest Cub fan ever! And we got to go into the Press Box. Row of the press box.
