Just another WordPress.com weblog. While in Uganda, one little girl changed my life. Abandoned at the age of 2 or 3, Mercy was abused, deaf, neglected, mute, malnourished, and molested. I became her care provider when Watoto took her in. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with this little girl. Upon my return, God showed me that there was a reason Mercy died – in order that other children could receive the care they needed. That is when The Mercy Project became my personal mission statement.

Last year the tournament was at the end of his first week of Tae Kwon Do and there was just no way he was ready to participate. Tuesday, January 17, 2012. December 31, 2011. As of December 21 we are finally on the gaining end of daylight. 4 minutes a day doesn't seem like much but believe me it makes a HUGE difference. Before break the sun was down by the time I went out for afternoon duty at 3:30. Now when I head out the sun is still just above the horizon. Its AMAZING! We are enjoying our time in AK! Saturday, December 3, 2011. In January Jonathan started Tae Kwon Do. There is a school here that provides after school martial arts classes. So instead of going to daycare or someplace else after school Jonathan would go to Tae Kwon Do every day. He has an hour long lesson and then they work on homework or play until parents come to pick them up. It's a fantastic program!
