Olen Petri Suni, visuaalisen alan sekatyöläinen; kuvittaja, graafinen suunnittelija ja opettaja. Kuvittajana olen itseoppinut – innostus ja harrastus muuttuivat ajan myötä ammatiksi. Varsinaisen kuvittajanuran voi katsoa alkaneeksi vuodesta 1993, jolloin siihen asti satunnaiset toimeksiannot alkoivat muodostua säännöllisemmäksi virraksi. One of my very recent works was to illustrate a schoolbook of English language. For the book I needed to design a dog character called the Top Dog. I just ran into the very very first sketches of the Top Dog when I was cleaning up my desk. It was a bit awkward to see again how stiff and clumsy the character was in the start. I don't know if there's an official definition for the word, but it's some kind of never-giving-up attitude. It's considered to be something so important that it's a part of so called finnish holy trinity: SISU - Sauna - Sibelius. I found it challenging and inspiring to try to capture the essence of SISU just by drawing.

I just did an editorial illustration and needed to include a grandma, who is just about to faint. A man carrying a fish in the background I managed to sketch just like that, but the grandma I wasn't happy with. Here's a character that must be one of the most iconic characters in the universe. Maybe it's just me, but I find Ronald McDonald nothing but creepy, and yet it's used to allure kids. Graafista suunnittelua yleisesti, kuten esim. taittoa, infografiikkaa jne. Kuvitusta, karikatyyripiirtämistä, graafista suunnittelua ja visuaalista viestintää, graafisen alan ohjemistoja jne. Kokemus on sitä, ettei aina tarvitse kokeilla ja arvailla, sillä useimmiten toimiva ratkaisumalli löytyy jo valmiiksi takataskusta.

Me rakastamme kuvitusta. Kuvittajat. Kuvittajat ry on kuvittajien oma järjestö, jonka tehtävänä on edistää suomalaisen kuvituksen asemaa. Markkinoimme kuvitusta useilla eri alueilla ja tuemme kuvittajia ammatissaan. Järjestöömme kuuluu yli 400 kuvittajaa ja toiminnastamme päättää jäsenten valitsema hallitus. Kuvittelua Kouvolassa
Kuvaaja ei ole oikea kuvaaja vaan ihan tavallinen räpsyttelijä. Kamera on joko halpa ja kevyt digikamera tai kännykkäkamera. Tulokset eivät kestä tarkempaa tutkiskelua. Kohteet kuitenkin valittu lämmöllä. Sunnuntai 22. lokakuuta 2017. Kävelin tänään pyhäpaivän ratoksi kadulla, missä lapsena asuin (olin silloin 3v.). Taas oli yksi talo kadonnut!
