Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Good evening, all. It's been somewhat long day, so this will be a brief update. The tube change previously advertised for today is happening tomorrow morning. The ENT team was ready to go this afternoon, but we waved them off. Kiara and I needed one more conversation with Dr. A and a risk/benefit analysis before giving the green light. The objectives at this point are 1) a safe and successful trach change, and 2) building up her strength, energy, and stamina. K,K,K,AND K.

Thursday, September 25, 2014. Hello, all. My apologies that I went silent for a while. Kiara's breathing tube was changed out around 11:30 this morning. At her request, she got a nice load of Valium prior to the procedure. Her request to the ENT team: No blood. No pain. Those asks were generally met; there was a little bit of bleeding, but nothing as originally feared. Monday, October 13, 2014. Coda (Part 1) - Obituary. Passed away September 28, 2014, after a long and valiant battle against head & neck cancer. She was 46. Kiara and Kelly Wolf celebrated their fourteenth wedding anniversary on September 17 of this year, although their friendship stretched back to 1981 (one summer, at band camp). Together with daughters Karina and Karissa, they left Nevada for Eugene, OR, in 2006. All four agreed that they could not have made a better decision. October 20, 2014 at 1:50 PM.
