Late Mail (Thursday 10th) Any treat of blue/green algae at Kyalite for this coming Long Weekend was knocked on the head last night. A cool change and 6 to 12 mil of rain cleaned the waters up nicely. It became an obvious extension of business to provide travelers with rest and sustenance and thus the original Wakool Hotel was built on the banks of the river. Early maps show the Wakool River being known as the KYALITE river.
