Just some food for thought…. It’s a desert out there. Get out of the neutral zone! Those of you that have attended the first two Olympic Lifting classes have learned a good amount about the power clean. Through those two classes you should have learned a good starting position as well as the basic technique of the whole movement. Just some food for thought…. From Muscle to Power. Above is a picture of our starting position for the clean. As you can see, and should know from the past few weeks, we start with our feet in close in that power/jumping stance. After we reach triple extension, we need to drop into that wider more stable base for the catch. Moving our feet out will do two things for us. First, it allows us to get lower quicker.
