What in the nonsense? Lara goes to Nicaragua. Sunday, May 9, 2010. I haven’t updated this in a while, but I thought I’d now put up some photos from March and April. The day after arriving at the airport we headed to Ometepe where we grabbed a ferry playing a lovely old Jean Claude Van Dam movie. Then as we were headed to my site on the bus the volcano decided to spit out some ash and smoke. Lucia and Ernesto dancing folklore. Lucia and Ernesto dancing Palo de Mayo. Adela and Lucia at the waterfall. Ferna...

I’ll preface this by saying that a week was not enough. 8211; quite the interesting place. 8221; due to the international vibe. It’s quite the otherworldly experie...

Life in Honduras: November 2010
http://rob-lifeinhonduras.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Insights from my Peace Corps service in Honduras. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Something to be Thankful For. The proverbial question - Would I do it again? In a heartbeat, without a moments hesitation, and I would hold nothing back. To interject with good news - the young men in Mexico were safe and sound and contemplating returning to Honduras at the time that I left the community. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What in the nonsense? Lara goes to Nicaragua. Sunday, May 31, 2009. The First 6 Months. So who would believe that I have been living at my site for 6 months already? And living in Nicaragua for 9 months? I am still amazed by the variety of fruits that are down here. The kids have often brought me fruit only to have me ask them “What IS this? ALMENDRA. A close-up of an un-ripe fruit in bad lighting. JOCOTE. A look at some jocote branches. They look like alien slugs or something and smell horrible. But...

http://rob-lifeinhonduras.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Insights from my Peace Corps service in Honduras. Saturday, May 16, 2009. I had to come to the "city" again to pick up a package (which I hope is the seeds I asked for to start a school garden) so I´m taking the opportunity to type up the post again (with constant saving as it already almost got me again). There is a law against burning fields, so I am told, but it seems to be rarely enforced. Into which the the cane is feed into at one end and leaves. Lunch time, hasta luego. Saturday, May 9, 2009.

Life in Honduras: New Experiences
http://rob-lifeinhonduras.blogspot.com/2009/11/new-experiences.html

I don´t enjoy the spotlight and it was made even more awkward by the fact that they were probably around 16 years old. I suppose I should just take it as a compliment. 161;Vamos al Mundial!
