Sunday, August 18, 2013. Back to school. How many times have I excitedly awaited the beginning of a new school year? How about 55 years? And hit my ankle with a ruler. What did I do? And I loved every minute of it and still do. So, "Back to School" time is still exciting to me. My mother was a big Rock Hudson fan, and if one of his movies was playing, especially if Doris Day was the lead female, we went on Tuesday nights. Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Today, Dennis and I drove my mom to Sumter County to pay our last respects and to celebrate the life of one of my favorite aunts, Anna Kathryn Shelby Plott. Aunt Kat was mom's oldest sister. She, Uncle Walter, and their three boys, Gene, T . Ony, and Tommy, lived just down the road from my grandparents, and as we visited my grandparents almost every weekend, it was inevitable that she and her family would be an important part of my life. Sunday, October 2, 2011. It has been a few months since I've updated, so I'm going to take this sleepless night to catch up. Second, Savannah, Jason, and Libby. Why with Gran and Coach, of course. Sunday, March 11, 2012. Savannah and Jason's second child was due Wednesday, February 22. A section was scheduled, and plans were made to prepare for this new baby boy. Tuesday was to be a big day with packing and other last minute details to take care of. Little did we know that our baby boy would call the shots- not the doctor- making it truly a big day. Here's Coach, Gran, and Luke. Pop Pop, Ci Ci, and Luke. Luke's two uncles who will undoubtedly influence him in many ways. Welcome to the family, Luke!
