Droid X | My work from the Mac Lab
https://kyleswork.wordpress.com/2010/10/18/droid-x
My work from the Mac Lab. October 18, 2010 at 9:52 pm ( Uncategorized. Ugly, huge phone. Same wVGA resolution as the droid 2, but with a 4.3″ screen instead of 3.7″. October 18, 2010 at 9:54 pm. Did you get it? October 18, 2010 at 9:57 pm. More fail: X records at 23 frames per second instead of the 29 the 2 has. Incredible has 27. I’m torn between Incredible and 2. Keyboard….or a smoother UI…. Although the colors seem over saturated on the incredible. October 18, 2010 at 10:04 pm. Enter your comment here.

My work from the Mac Lab. October 25, 2010 at 6:48 pm ( Uncategorized. The way Grades are used is to measure someones intelligence. If so, then why do we have CST’s and SAT’s and ACT’s and the CAHSEE? Sometimes grades do represent what someone has learned in that class, but what about when they don’t? Every person is based on this one idea of what a brilliant person is; a paper pusher. But what about the kids that aren’t a designated paper pusher? You can’t fix a machine by writing a paper about it...

Zipbuds (Gradient Mesh) & Movie Poster (kind of) | Christian Lim
https://christianlim.wordpress.com/2010/12/21/zipbuds-gradient-mesh-movie-poster-kind-of
Zipbuds (Gradient Mesh) and Movie Poster (kind of). The final assignment was to choose an artist that I’ve been influenced by, and create an art piece in their style. Because this was (unfortunately) the only assignment where an electronic medium was allowed, I naturally turned to Yukio Miyamoto. As my artist of choice. He’s a fantastic Illustrator and shows amazing use of the gradient mesh tool. So I choose to vectorize one of the Zipbuds picture. Use of blood on the face. Clothing tends to be formal.

Bristle Brush Tip Settings. 8211; – – – –. Now the hard part about understanding these settings is that we ALSO have to factor in our mixer brush settings. Obviously having a wet brush will carry over more color than a dry brush, etc. For most of these, I’m using a wet/very wet setting. 8211; – – – – –. The size of the brush varies between 1-300 px. This affects how big our actual brush is. The bigger the brush, the more pixels it affects. How stiff/rigid our bristles are. A low percent means we have...
Marker Comps | Christian Lim
https://christianlim.wordpress.com/2010/11/10/marker-comps
Just two of my practice drawings using markers. This is the first time I’m using markers as a medium, and I’ve discovered I’m actually not half bad with it for being new to it. The exercise was basically finding (large) pictures of models in magazines, and redraw it using markers. 8211; – – – – –. I’ve got more to upload, but my scanner is too small to fit my other projects. So those will have to wait for now. By Christian Lim on November 10, 2010. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Kate Austin Media and Design. That thing that you call art. Ahh, the new beginnings of the school year are always good. However, the first couple weeks in the Mac Lab are always tedious because we have to go over all the procedures and watch videos we’ve seen a million times again because that’s protocol (which is probably what I should be doing, but I needed to update my blog since I was negligent over the summer). You know what’s always entertaining? I got my new iPhone 4, finally. And it is AMAZING.

My blog and soon to be portfolio. November 8, 2010 – 11:00 PM. I’ve been quiet the last few months for very good reason. I’ve been generating the media with which DGA will advertise their new product – Zipbuds. We’ve been keeping this under wraps for a good four months (beginning of July) and in that time we’ve had at least six separate photo shoots and have generated close to 100 (91) finished Photoshopped images to be used in ads for the product and on www.Zipbuds.com. I’m not sure how to cover t...
