Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Got my motor installed on Monday night. Taped and protected the frame. Got it in without a scratch in about 15 minutes. Thought I wouldn't be ready for my tank for a while but sure looks like I could need it by the weekend. There are also some shots of the tach installed. Saturday, September 19, 2009. So Close But Not There Yet. Took a few weeks off from the project to do other needed tasks. Realizing that my goal was to bring it to a show in mid October to sell this may have been a poor idea. I am now down to finishing the tank, rear brakes, chain, and oh yeah, getting it to run right. Sunday, June 28, 2009. Got Tanked and Fired Up. Spent Saturday morning sanding and body filling the tank. Got through the rust and tank was in great shape. Had to fill over the old emblem locations. Still a little more work and it will be ready for paint. Been pondering what to do with the colors but right now I should focus on weld prep, body filling, and loads of rust removel. I am sure the colors will come with time. I have made a ton of progress in under 5 days of working on it. Tuesday, June 23, 2009.

Sunday, August 2, 2009. Spent the day painting lots of little things and painting the exhaust. Got the studs for the wheels painted. Installed the exhaust and cleaned up the shortened tail pipe. Installed the tail light and license plate. Oh so close but so far away. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is a real man's version of therapy. Just a toolbox, driveway, and some free time every so often. Hope you enjoy what I am putting together and please feel free to comment on anything.
