Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Thursday it was puking snow on the Wasatch Front. I didn't get out to ski because of our trip the next day to visit my kid brother Jeff and his family in Tucson. The weather (for Tucson standards) was cold with highs only in the low 50s, but felt balmy compared to sub zero temps back home. Wednesday, December 18, 2013. 12/18/2013- First Proper Tour of the Year. We wanted to ascend the run to assess. Teague and Andy. I've wanted to ski the Lake Peak couloir many times. Hopefully I will soon. The snow got firm and sparse near the top so we switched to booting. SLC valley somewhere under the soup in the background. A Wasatch Sasquatch sighting! Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Note: This draft has been in my blogger for almost two full months. I guess I better publish it. Pics to come when I get around to it. Which probably means in 2 more months. Maybe I'll finish the rest of the entry someday too. Saturday 4/21/2012 Keith, Steve, Jeff, Greg, Ryan and myself all went to “run” the doublecross of the grand. With the north rim closed until 5/15, we were forced to add a couple hundred miles onto our drive to the south rim of the grand. The GC is stunning.

Saturday, March 23, 2013. Today I did an inadvertent triathlon. I was planning a duathlon (bike and ski), a flat tire forced me to run in ski boots for several miles. I should mention that I was pushing a bike the whole time. It must have been quite the sight to see. Tuesday, January 10, 2017. A new blog post? Partially writing this to assist anyone that wants to go ski out there. Skiing Ibapah Peak in the Deep Creek Range, West Desert Utah.
