Wednesday, 20 January 2010. After reviewing other peoples work in the crits this afternoon, Lauren Forrester. Pointed out this gorgeous ident for the BBC using a hand-crafted apprearance. Unlike the storyboards. That I created I have not considered yet the use of 3D camera movements. This may be something to consider later on. Personal and Professional Development. Wednesday, 15 December 2010. Conceptual branding with an interest in type and a specialisation in motion graphics. On a final note, the levels of stress towards the end of this module have been almost unbearable, and though I've been better equipped to cope with this - I'm going to place a huge amount of emphasis on organisation and time management in the next few months to stop this happening again. I was somewhere in between, with my zombie video from last term coming out on top for me, and attracting the interest of a motion graphics company on Call Lane called Bark and Bite.

Design agency I'm looking at in relation to a D&AD brief - it's really hard to get an idea of the work they do through photos, but they're a really influential branding agency where the branding goes far deeper than just a logo or a theme. I knew I had to stick to the conventions laid out in the stationary for this, which was really challenging but a lot of fun actually! It was really refreshing to design a poster in this way, and I think the result is something quite unique. The last picture is the layout I chose for all 5 productions. I've always absolutely loved the Republic branding and it suddenly hit me that a lot of my work is inspired by this simple approach to logo design, so I thought I'd better make it known. Nearly all the clothing labels sold in Republic have been designed by the same studio (B&W), and though they are all different, they all work together in a way that defines the shop as a whole.
