It's happy screaming. New Orleans, Part 1. I was, frankly, a bit of a basket case. I figured I’d sleep on the drive and flight. Which of course never works well, but I did get a few catnaps throughout the day, and was able to speak coherently (I hope) for the reception Sunday night. I did, however, crash pretty hard immediately afterward, sleeping blissfully uninterrupted until morning. Highly recommended by this group! But I am determined to enjoy myself on this trip, and Monday fit the bill nicely.

The weekend after we returned from New Orleans a friend of mine was hosting a benefit for our mutual friend, Jocelyn, an adorable golden-curled five year old girl who was about to undergo open heart surgery.
