Atlanta Intown Cycling: One Less Brain Thorn
http://atlantaintowncycling.blogspot.com/2009/10/one-less-brain-thorn.html
Cycling around the in-town neighborhoods of Atlanta, GA as seen from my road bike. Monday, October 26, 2009. One Less Brain Thorn. Good memories often come with souvenirs. Sometimes, the bad memories have souvenirs too. I got rid of one by sneezing. If you're the sort of person who gets grossed out, have no fear. This isn't a gross post. Only certain types of surprises are allowed in my posts. One morning I noticed the tire was completely flat, like "someone was playing a trick on me" flat. I pumped ...

Atlanta Intown Cycling

Cycling around the in-town neighborhoods of Atlanta, GA as seen from my road bike. Wednesday, March 10, 2010. When listing the reasons we climb on our bikes, we often feel the need to justify "having fun". For some, daily exercise - like brushing our teeth, eating our vegetables and getting to bed early - is proudly proclaimed to be yet another example of our well-developed self-mastery. We let others believe we force ourselves to exercise. An article in the New York Times. I don't mind telling people th...

Atlanta Intown Cycling: Reporting from Buckhead
http://atlantaintowncycling.blogspot.com/2010/01/reporting-from-buckhead.html
Cycling around the in-town neighborhoods of Atlanta, GA as seen from my road bike. Sunday, January 17, 2010. It's probably been for two years that various cyclists have complained that we always do the bicycle commuter breakfasts somewhere along the routes between Decatur and Midtown/Downtown. Certainly this is where I see the most cyclists, but because commuter cyclists' numbers have more than doubled since I began counting a few years ago, I thought perhaps it is time to expand our repertoire. Bradley ...

Cycling around the in-town neighborhoods of Atlanta, GA as seen from my road bike. Thursday, December 31, 2009. Putting the money where my bicycle is. It isn't often that anyone asks me to "put my money where my mouth is". I don't take bets and it is not very often I make financial contributions to any organizations. I just made an exception. The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition - Atlanta's oldest and largest cycling advocacy organization - is in the middle of a fundraiser for 2010. And make your donation. ...

Atlanta Intown Cycling: Dreaming Out Loud
http://atlantaintowncycling.blogspot.com/2009/12/dreaming-out-loud.html
Cycling around the in-town neighborhoods of Atlanta, GA as seen from my road bike. Monday, December 07, 2009. Riding in this morning, I noticed a long poem written along the PATH trail, but I was riding right-to-left and this wasn't in Hebrew. I thought if there was enough light coming back home the poem might make a nice video. Once again, bike speed is the right speed. This isn't far from the Chicken Feet sculpture. I wrote about a couple of weeks ago. Round Trip Distance: 18.6. Links to this post.
