Tuesday, May 31, 2011. It's Been a While. It has been a while since I have posted. Almost a year. I have fostered three dogs since my last post. Not as many as I would like to have helped, but my work schedule has been very hectic lately. In August 2010, we fostered Roxie. Roxie is a female black lab and at the time was a little over a year. She was a gorgeous girl and soooo. After Roxie, we fostered Aspen. We fostered this pretty girl through Moore Labs. Aspen was scheduled to be put to sleep in...And e...

Friday, July 30, 2010. I'm gonna missy Crissy. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. I completely forgot to do a post about Charlie. Charlie was my first international rescue and he went to live with one of my best friends, Susan - so I don't know how I forgot to mention him. Susan's lab Jake passed away in February. Jake (more about him later) was my first lab-love! Jake was 15 years old. He spent the last 9 years of his life laying under palm trees in Bermuda. What else could possibly go wrong! Ip, but anxiously awo...

http://fosternetwork.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 18, 2010. I still do not have a foster dog. I am eagerly awaiting my husband's graduation from Grad School so that we can start fostering again. I can hardly stand it, especially since Lab Rescue of NC is in such need of foster homes. (Let me know if you are interested! Wilson usually starts it, and then, Harper jumps in.getting control is tough. I have started putting Wilson on a leash and walking him in the backyard in hopes that he will learn he is not the boss of the backyard! Wilson ...

Raleigh Foster Network: April 2010
http://fosternetwork.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Finally, a foster! I have finally started fostering again and I felt the rewards of doing it as soon as I picked the dog up. My new foster is Honey. She is a 8-10 month old yellow female lab. And, she is true to her name. She is so sweet and eager to please. Er We took her around the house on a leash showing her the rooms she is allowed in, etc. We then did the same in the backyard - walked her around the yard on leash and then, it was play time. Raleigh Foster Network: June 2010
http://fosternetwork.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 22, 2010. I haven't posted in a while, but I am happy (and sad) to say, we did not have Miss Honey long - just two short weeks! Honey (now Sunny) was the sweetest girl. She fit right into our little doggie pack and she was so easy to foster. I could walk all three labs by myself and have no problems. She was excellent on a leash! All of the dogs I have fostered have been wonderful and a blessing. It is such a rewarding experience. It won't be long before we get another! Dog Lovers Wine Club.
