Plan 3: we’re also going to do some research on designs for hive stands, since the current “up on blocks in the side yard” approach doesn’t work very well with screen bottoms. Saturday, December 5, 2009. My Favorite Christmas Cookie. 2 cups powdered sugar. 1 1/4 cups shortening. 2 cups sifted flour. Optional: 1/2 cup ground nuts, chocolate sprinkle or colored sprinkles. Mix ingredients in order given. Roll into 2 inch thick logs, wrap in waxed paper and chill. When ready to bake, slice into 1/4 inch thick slices and bake 7-12 minutes at 350 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet or on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
