Transplanted Trilliums: May 2006
http://trilliums.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 29, 2006. Yesterday Richard and I took advantage of some gorgeous weather to go for a hike at (on? The trail was just challenging enough, the weather was gorgeous, and the scenery beautiful. I think the pictures speak for themselves:. It was a fun day. We did the hike in about 3 hours, including a break for sandwiches. I got to try out my new Merrell. And because it was our wedding aniversary, we stopped at Blomidon Estate Winery. For a bottle of wine on the way home. Thursday, May 25, 2006.

Purl Necklace: September 2006
http://purlnecklace.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 29, 2006. Yeah, so I got distractd from the UFOs and WIPs that need to get done. Sue me. First here we have a modular knitted coaster from the Knitty Gritty show the other day. Very cute and very quick. That's Sugar n' Creme yarn. I love how it looks like a bunch of little triangles, but it's actually knit all in one piece with no picking up stitches or anything. Very clever. And this is my first square of Lizard Ridge. 1 Wisecracks and/or comments. Saturday, September 23, 2006. Somethi...

Transplanted Trilliums: August 2006
http://trilliums.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Too Lazy to Move. So I'm taking the picture right here where I'm sitting. I am still in love with this Fleece Artist. I love the feel of it, I love the colour, and I will wear these socks into the ground. If you look at my previous post, you can see the stitch pattern for the pomatomus socks more clearly. Also clearly, I had no problem with second sock syndrome with these gorgeous numbers. The yarn and the pattern were so nice together! I've been working on my Peacock Feathers s...

Transplanted Trilliums: September 2005

Thursday, September 15, 2005. What a great title. Don't worry, we'll try to be more creative from now on. A little background please, Valerie! So transplants we are: adapting slowly and learning to thrive in a new marriage, and loving the new environment. So we will try to update at least once a week to let you know how things are cooking here in Halifax as we try to settle in to a new apartment (sans furniture) and new jobs (Richard is doing his Master's in Physical Oceanography at Dalhousie University.

Transplanted Trilliums: July 2006
http://trilliums.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 26, 2006. This was waiting for me when I got home. Those of you familliar with homestar. Might recognize the quotation. Posted by Valerie at 6:29 PM. Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Of course I wanted one. A not-so-subtle message to my veggie-phobe of a husband. Posted by Valerie at 10:27 PM. Thursday, July 20, 2006. And I really like the darker colour it's turning out to be. I kept it streaky and most intense just at the front, so if I get a job interview or something it can be styled down a...

Transplanted Trilliums: June 2006
http://trilliums.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 26, 2006. Two in one day? What is the world coming to? Here's a little bag I sewed up this afternoon for the knit sock kit swap thing. I really like it, and I think my pal will, but the finishing is a leetle iffy- I cannot sew in a straight line, apparently. It's not terrible, and not going to fall apart, and better than the projects I did in 7th grade (A's thankyouverymuch), so it can't be that bad. Or am I just reluctant to send it because I really want to keep it for myself? For the termi...

Hooney's: August 2006
http://hooney.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 31, 2006. This is the reason why no grass was moving in my blog for almost two weeks - I was devoted to finish this shawl for no reason. It's not a gift, not a job, nor to commemorate any occasion. I. JUST. WANT. TO. FINISH. IT. I am obsessive compulsive like that when it comes to knitting. That's also one of the reasons why I only work on one project at a time. Another reason - not keeping a journal. Do you mind having a couple of stitches that are either too loose or tight? And I love ...

It's a Knitty Scrappy Life: September 2006
http://knittyscrappylife.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
It's a Knitty Scrappy Life. I am an all around crafter. There are very few crafts I haven't tried and even those are awfully tempting. My current obsessions are scrapbooking and knitting and I would love to share them with you. Thursday, September 28, 2006. Baby Kimono Part 1 and 2. Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Over the last few days I have received two wonderful swap packages. One is from the Whose lace is it Anyways swap. And the other is from the Mason Dixon Swap. She sent a purple and green, (my ab...

Transplanted Trilliums: October 2005
http://trilliums.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 30, 2005. Yesterday was Richard's 25th birthday, but what with all the excitement of daylight savings time and all I forgot. (Just kidding.). We celebrated by Richard sleeping in until who knows what time and me going to work. Whoo! But then we went out for dinner together at East Side Mario's. The whole time we were there, I couldn't tell her secretly. So no East Side birthday song or free dessert or anything. Boo. Little waterproof booties and more lights for safe and dry winter biking!
