Thursday, March 22, 2012. Yay, springtime is here! The weather has been amazing so we've been taking advantage (since it's only nice like this for like 2 months out of the year)! I've been enjoying spending time with my 2 precious boys doing all sorts of things: going on walks, flying kites, painting, playing in the sandbox, and cooking. Monday, August 20, 2012. It's been TOOO long since we saw auntie niessy. We were so excited when she decided to come see us. :) Thanks to my friend Emily and her Southwest buddy passes for making this happen! She came for a WHOLE week and we loved every minute. We wish she could have stayed longer! While she was here we played lazer beam obstacle course! And we gave the boys supplies to make a fort! We also went to a moms group Christmas in July party. Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Trying to catch up on the blog! We had a wonderful Christmas! The boys' school had a lovely Christmas pageant a week before. Ethan's class sang "Away in a Manger"-it was the sweetest thing. He actually participated after he found his hands in his robe at the very end of the song! We spent Christmas Eve with Jake's family: his older brother's family with 3 girls, his sister, her husband and their baby girl, and his younger brother plus his parents! Mason and his cousin Carly.

Thursday, August 9, 2012. As promised, here are LOTS of pics from this summer! All from my iPhone so not the best quality. We have been trying to stay busy and also do things indoors since it's so stinkin hot here! Can't believe summer is winding down but I am definitely ready for cooler weather and for preschool to start! Mason is 14 months and Ethan is 3 1/2. Can't believe my babies are getting so big! Playing in the shoe bin. Doing a little painting. Girls' trip to Denver-SO FUN! Loves to read books.

Tuesday, October 2, 2012. It's FALL, Yall. Seriously, where did September go? I'm not complaining though because I LOVE fall and the cooler temperatures and the excitement of all the holidays right around the corner. We have been telling Ethan that Halloween is getting close and he says, "Yeah, Halloween is on its way to Texas"! I guess Halloween lives elsewhere throughout the year. :). Help, night-night, and book. And I can't believe Ethan is going on 4 years old. How can that be? The ball from me"!

Thursday, December 27, 2012. Ethan's First Ski Trip. A few weeks ago, Jake and I took Ethan up to Vermont for his first ski trip! The trip there wasn't the best to say the least. Our flight from Houston was delayed, so we missed our connection in Chicago. That turned into a 3 hour wait at O'Hare with Ethan , who had been up since 4:30 am. :( Enter meltdowns! Monday, February 11, 2013. Just realized I haven't blogged about Ethan's soccer season that happened in the FALL yet! We signed him up through the Y and he had so much fun! He made lots of friends his age. He was actually a good little player but he never really got into the games. In fact, I'm fairly certain he wasn't even aware that there was a game going on.he just wanted to play tag and chest bump his friends on the field! So sweet. The boys and coaches held hands and prayed before each game!

Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Sadly, preschool started over a month ago and I am just now getting around to blogging about it. Ah well. We have the boys at a wonderful preschool just south of Katy in Richmond called Faith School for Young Children. Ethan attended last year and we were just so impressed with it. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. First Haircut and Other Happenings. Mason had his first haircut last week. He sure doesn't have a lot of hair but it was really long and all growing in from the same spot so when the wind would blow, it looked like he had on a wig! He was really good, just sat and played with the bell on his firetruck seat. He will be 11 months at the end of April-can't believe it! I know that sounds so cliche, but this year has gone by so fast. I think because I'm not working. :).
