Total waste of time. Sunday, May 30, 2010. I realized I need to bring my Desk Essentials to work on Wednesday, and again on Thursday, since I have 2 desks, half an hour apart. Two desks, and they are mine unless I bungle. Not "until the job is done" or "until she returns" or "until some other circumstance over which you have no say steps in," but rather "because they are your desks and you will work here.". Total waste of time. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. A Personal Day, and some recommendations for your leisure time. I was discussing, yesterday, with 2 friends who are also looking for work, how the search can become all-consuming. You find yourself thinking, "I can't take a shower, I need to apply for this job! I don't have time to go to the gym, I need to revamp my resume! It is crazy-making, but feels totally logical from the inside, even though in your mind you know the problem is that you have no job.
