Shields Family Life: January 2015
http://shieldsfamilylife.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. The Cub Scouts had an event for the top popcorn sellers in each pack at the Toldeo Zoo. Kris was excited to see what that was all about. All the kids were recognized and were awarded various patches then were given the rest of the day to spend at the Zoo. Kris was a little amazed that the top seller in the council sold $6000, it gave him a new goal. Monday, January 26, 2015. Sunday, January 18, 2015. Besides if you eat the fish you will be big and strong like me. (At this ...

Shields Family Life: Mealtime and Playtime
http://shieldsfamilylife.blogspot.com/2015/08/mealtime-and-playtime.html
Saturday, August 1, 2015. The quantity of food we managed to consume was pretty impressive, but with kids perched on every stool and parents around the perimeter we were able to eat lots each day. Fortunately the kids also had several entertainment activities provided courtesy of Uncle Jack and Gramma. Uncle Matt helped with the aquarium pictures, mostly in a supervisory role. And the kids had a great chattering teeth race! The girls had a lovely nail salon experience with Auntie R and Aunt Rachel. Since...

Shields Family Life: July 2015
http://shieldsfamilylife.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Crossing the streams was probably hysterical to watch. We usually formed a human chain to pass across the little ones.but Kyle was also ready to help the "older" little ones. Aunt Debbie offered to take people up for a quick flight and we had a few jump on the opportunity. Leah was SOOOO excited to get to fly! Leah and Mat went up in the first flight. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. JT looked a little terrorized but got right into all the fun. We saw the stingray feeding show and the me...

Shields Family Life: Back at home
http://shieldsfamilylife.blogspot.com/2015/08/back-at-home.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. So when we got back the riding lawn mower we had inherited finally bit the dust and so Rick was able to get one. He is most excited that it is a zero-turn one (not sure what that means but apparently it is important). He also enjoyed having a personal chef. to make bratwurst and authentic German potato salad. Leah really liked the "German hot dogs" while Katelyn liked the potato salad. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Shields Family Spring 2016. 1st Day of School. It’s ...

Shields Family Life: August 2015
http://shieldsfamilylife.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 31, 2015. Waiting for someone to come home. I think someone missed brother and sister on the first day of school. She was very excited to go out and wait for the bus to arrive. She just kept pacing back and forth with her hands behind her back. Periodically she would stop and look down the road then go back to pacing. 1st Day of School. Well today marked 5:30 alarms, zombies eating cereal, and school starting! Sunday, August 30, 2015. Weekend before school party. Thursday, August 27, 2015.

Shields Family Life: December 2014
http://shieldsfamilylife.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Frozen- the live show. For the last day we spent some time wandering around downtown. Leah was especially happy to see that they had a fountain where the lights underwater made it appear different colors at different times. Matt went to the train museum which sounds like it was a great place to kill most of a day. We also had some additional quality pool time. The kids (big and small) had fun. Paul is really working on getting pretty fearless! Tuesday, December 30, 2014.

Shields Family Life: pool time
http://shieldsfamilylife.blogspot.com/2015/07/pool-time.html
Saturday, August 1, 2015. The kids were excited about pool time. The splash park was very popular! Especially when the kids figured out that they could sit on the sprayers and have it shoot up into their faces. They also enjoyed the dumping buckets. They were very impressed by their ability to "trick" the adults into standing under a bucket and get soaked. somehow I got a disproportionate number of those tricks.
