Thursday, April 16, 2015. Renova has been spotted in Southeast Asia. In spring 2014, we sold Renova. And we've just heard that she's been spotted in the Philippines! We're so thrilled that she is stretching her legs and exploring new parts of the globe. Fair winds to Renova and her crew! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Receive Updates By Email. Renova's Adventures: Boat
http://svrenova.blogspot.com/p/boat.html
Renova is a 36 foot Cape Dory 36, built in Massachusets in 1980. She is cutter-rigged, with a cut-away keel. A well respected offshore cruiser! She has been a fabulous vessel for this adventure and has carried her crew and guests to distant shores safely and with confidence. Here is a partial list of her gear, and a few photos:. Main Sail (on a furling boom). Trisail (hoisted on a separate mast track). 130 Genoa (roller furling). Working stay sail (although on the thin side). 1980 Perkins 4-108 48hp.

Renova's Adventures: Route
http://svrenova.blogspot.com/p/route.html
We left BC in August 2009 with plans for a two-year cruise of the Pacific. As our trip progressed, our plans morphed into a three year trip, with a few months at home to work and replenish our cruising kitty. Here are the countries we've visited, and where our current plan may take us. Vancouver Island, BC, Canada (August 2009). USA (August - November 2009). Mexico (December - March 2010). Galapagos Islands (April 2010). French Polynesia (May - July 2010, and March-May 2011). Cook Islands (May 2011).

8216;Old Blue’ Motor Rebuild. Where are they now? September 4, 2013. Middot; 1 comment. Dane and Ryan have headed out to sea and left this inmate in charge. Muahaha! Are you wondering how I know all this? No, I’m not there, and I haven’t developed psychic powers yet. The answer comes thanks to some great friends of ours. Eric and Rachelle Ericson have very graciously let the travelers borrow their satellite phone and you know what you can do with this phone? Text Pretty sweet, right? 2 years 11 months ago.

8216;Old Blue’ Motor Rebuild. The Kiwi Public Transportation Tour of 2014. December 22, 2014. Middot; 1 comment. That’s the super quick version of events, there was really so much more that happened, but here are a few impressions of New Zealand from me:. Kiwis are very nice. They are living in the Stone Age when it comes to wireless internet access. Public transportation is fun! Kiwi food is really good, but expensive. They have real beer and it was delightful. I’m too fucking old for hostels. Merry Chr...
