Two Cajun Festivals, One Weekend. This dance hall addition was added in 1908 for a cost of $2500. We were attending the Cajun Fest 2014. I don't think they enforce this anymore. Monday, March 23, 2015. We celebrated Doris’s birthday today. She is now three quarter century old. Her son and wife invited us for dinner and cake. I had taken her on her birthday for breakfast to Gill’s by the Bay. We had our second date there. The next day we went to Roy’s Club for an Italian dinner. The magnolia in the backyard is in full bloom. It is a messy tree but beautiful. The amarilla plant in the sun room is very beautiful too. Vendors, who work with wood, displayed their art and machinery.

When I arrived at the Tillamook Moose Lodge I found out that they have only room for one RV on their parking lot, and I could not have it because they expected 300 people for a big party. Sunday, August 23, 2015. One year has past. One year ago, on August 22, Doris and I had our first date. Today we went back to Liu’s Chinese restaurant and had dinner. We even sat on the same table. It was an interesting year. The weather in Eureka was unusual good. It did not rain much. Yesterday we went to the Humboldt County Fair. They have an exhibit about the Tsunami which hit Japan very hard. On display is a boat which came across the ocean with the currants. We watched riders do tricks on horses.

Monday, July 27, 2015. Portland - Oregon - July 2015. I got up at 6:00 AM and Doris surprised me and got up too. We left Grants Pass at 7:30 AM and arrived at the Clackemette RV Park in Oregon City, near Portland, at 12:30 PM. It started to rain when we came through Eugene and lasted the rest of the afternoon. Gayle, Doris’s daughter had signed us in since it is first come, first served and no reservations are accepted. It is a County Park. Gayle, her daughter and we went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch.
