Birding on the edge of reason. Sunday 15 December 2013. Just enough sunshine this morning to bring two of the Long-eared Owls to the edge of the undergrowth where they roost. Not perfect views, and nowhere near as good a picture as Lawrie took a fortnight ago - see our blog. 45; but still a great bird and my first sighting on patch for two years. Less welcome, but still exciting, was the suprise appearance of a Mink later on in the morning. A just for laffs.
