Language - Gender - Sustainability. The prevailing linguistic fragmentation of the so-called Third World is usually perceived as a hindrance for development. We turn the tables: innovation takes primarily place on a local level and in local languages, not in the dominant official languages, which are usually mastered only by a minority of the community concerned. Consequently, local languages must be considered as indispensable media for development processes.

L importante fragmentation linguistique du Tiers Monde est généralement perçue comme obstacle au développement. Abordons le problème à l envers : on innove localement et dans une des langues locales, et non pas dans une langue officielle ou une ancienne langue coloniale, généralement mal assimilée.
