About H.O.L.D. 2016 H.O.L.D. Brochure. Named after the Hill family, one of the original families to the area, Hillside was settled by the issuance of free land grants and the logging industry in the late 1800s. It wasn’t long before the breathtaking beauty of the lake and picturesque scenery brought vacationers to the area. Resorts were built and homesteads and sawmills were converted into inns to accommodate visitors who wanted to escape the city. Visit the Artists of the Limberlost. Take to the Outdoors.

HOLD (Hillside, Oxtongue Lake, Dwight) Community Group is comprised of volunteers and business owners in the Highway 60 corridor between Huntsville and Algonquin Park. We organize and sponsor annual fundraisers and special events and use the proceeds to better our communities.
