Catch of the Day. Welcome to Lake Ramona! Lake Ramona opened to the public on July 4, 1968 after four years of construction. Built by William Abner "Bill" Waters and his family, using rebuilt and borrowed Pre-WWII tractors, over 100,000 board-feet of lumber was removed to clear the land needed for the lake. The pictures below were hanging in the ol' Bait and Tackle store for years. Some are penciled on with the date, some not. Do you know any of these people or the specific date/years?
